You were parted from your possessions for a reason. I am sure you have had many new experiences and made many new friends since the day Hurricane Katrina came off the sea and changed your life.
Enough time has now passed that you can look back and see what changes have taken place ? what new opportunities have opened up for you and what new ways you have created for yourself to flow your energies to.
You are born into the world with nothing and you leave the world with nothing; so is it so unusual that you get to have nothing in the middle of your life as well?
A similar thing happened to me in 2001 when I was working as a sheep farmer in the Snowdonia National Park, in Wales, United Kingdom. Very unexpectedly, we found ourselves in the middle of the Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak and could not market our lambs at all for nearly a year.
6 months into the outbreak, we ran out of money and the farm was sold from under us. Everything, auctioned off. We had planned to retire at the farm but the Universe had other ideas for us.
Now when I look back, I can see how blessed I was by this event as we would not have left the farm without this big push from Nature.
I now find myself doing what I want to do; I live in a warmer, more comfortable house and have more free time to enjoy myself and follow my own heart’s desire.
What I would suggest to you is to look deeply into your heart and find that which brings you Joy.
